Carnival Day
As dancers move in an expression of their inner feelings, their movements are generally in rhythm to the drumbeat. It is the sound of the drum and the rhythms that are played that provide the heartbeat of the dance. In African dance, the drum helps to set the mood and brings everyone together as a community.
MDD has combined these two most popular activities for the complete experience.
Workshop Overview
Combine drumming and dance for a day of culture rhythm and dance. Our African drumming specialist will work with one group whilst the dancer works with another. You can choose from the two options below:
Workshop Option 1
Fill your school with music and dance with this full day session, tailored to suit all ages and abilities. This focused day of activities for two groups of up to 30 pupils, culminating in a performance for the whole school or parents.
Workshop Option 2
As a full day this option provides excellent value for money by enabling up to 12 groups of up to 30 pupils to each undertake a 45 minute dance and/or drumming workshop. The option is also available as a half day…
